About Me.

Born and raised in Brasília, Brazil. I have been passionate about video-games since I was a child. In 2014 I decided to follow my dream and dedicate full-time to game development. I quit my job and traveled overseas to Canada, where I started studying Game Art & Design at the Art Institute of Vancouver. I've joined EA in 2016 and progressed in my career from Assistant Game Designer to Gameplay Designer working on 6 FIFA installments from FIFA 18 to 23. I also had an amazing experience in the EA mobile studio where I served as Lead Gameplay Designer before heading back to EA sports to on EA FC 24 and EA FC 25.

Career

2022-Present

FC 24 & FC 25 - Gameplay Designer

  • Created and iterated design proposal of major feature taking in consideration design pillars and the downstream effects in other areas. Most notably PlayStyles for FC24 and Rush for FC25. Coordinated and headed cross team collaboration to ensure design vision of feature was concise and clear across all stakeholders and functional teams.

EA FC - Gameplay Designer

Unannounced Mobile Sports Game  - Gameplay Designer

  • Unannounced Mobile Sports Game

    • Served as lead gameplay designer​

    • Worked closely with the Creative Director and Game Director to design systems and features that aligned with our creative vision and product strategy.

    • Led scrum teams through pre-production on major features.

    • Mentored teammates from game design, UX, and QA in my areas of expertise.

  • EA FC

    • Created and iterated design proposal of major feature taking in consideration design pillars and the downstream effects in other areas.​

    • Coordinated and headed cross team collaboration to ensure design vision of feature was concise and clear across all stakeholders and functional teams.

2021-2022

FIFA 22 & FIFA 23 - Gameplay Designer

  • Designed core systems, key features in FIFA such as: Rules, Switching, Goalkeeper and Volta Arcade.

  • Worked on a cross-team collaboration as owner of gameplay design for the FIFA welcome experience.

  • Designed skill games progression feature for FIFA's first-ever onboarding experience.

2019-2021

FIFA 20 & FIFA 21 - Associate Game Designer

  • Designed new game modes and key features such as: House Rules, Volta and Rules.

  • Documented best practices and tuning instructions for a legacy feature.

  • Mentored and oversaw work of skill game designers on my team.

  • Designed and scripted new innovative skill games features.

2016-2019

FIFA 18 & FIFA 19 - Assistant Game Designer

  • Designed skill games for various game modes.

  • Designed supporting features to improve user learning and difficulty progression.
